The Kosun Separation Drilling Cuttings System is an advanced solution designed to efficiently separate and recover drilling fluids from drill cuttings while minimizing waste volume. 

 This system significantly reduces operational costs, particularly in thermal treatment processes, by optimizing mud recovery and cuttings handling.

System Components & Functions

Vertical Cuttings Dryer 

Available with fixed-speed control panel or VFD control panel for adjustable operation.

Specifically engineered for oil-based mud (OBM) cuttings treatment, effectively reducing Oil on Cuttings (OOC) to 3~5%.

A mature and reliable product with years of proven performance in the field.

Note: Not recommended for water-based mud (WBM) cuttings.

Screw Conveyor

Collects drill cuttings discharged from the shaker and transfers them to the vertical cuttings dryer.

Configurations include:

Horizontal conveyor – Positioned beneath the shaker outlet for initial collection.

Inclined conveyor – Elevates cuttings into the vertical dryer’s feed hopper.

Telescopic Skid with Mud Recovery Tank & Agitator

Provides structural support for the vertical cuttings dryer.

Equipped with a mud recovery tank to collect recycled OBM.

Includes a transfer pump (typically a screw pump) to return recovered OBM to the active mud system.

Mud Transfer Pump

Ensures efficient transfer of recovered drilling fluid back to the active circulation system.

Cuttings Collection Skip/Tank

Collects dried cuttings discharged from the vertical dryer.

Facilitates transport to Thermal Desorption Units (TDU) for final treatment.
