Principles of Oily Sludge Thermal Washing Treatment:

The treatment begins with a specially designed pre-treatment unit that crushes and homogenizes large sludge deposits to improve separation efficiency. Heating, stirring, and conditioning techniques are then applied to break the oil-water emulsion, causing oil, water, and solids to stratify.

The mixture is then fed into a high-speed decanter centrifuge. Under a strong centrifugal force, materials separate according to specific gravity: the oil phase floats, the water phase remains in the middle, and solids move to the outer wall. This achieves preliminary three-phase separation.

For solids with high residual moisture, equipment such as vertical cuttings dryers is used for further dewatering, significantly reducing water content for easier transport or resource recovery. The separated oil can be recovered and reused, while the water phase can be treated to meet discharge or reuse standards.
